    Where is TechniSat located?
    Since 1998, the historically significant plant in Staßfurt near Magdeburg has served as TechniSat location. In the former RFT factories, where innovative broadcasting technology was developed more than 70 years ago, television sets still roll off the production line today.

    Launch of the first TechniSat SATENNE flat dishes with an edge length of 38 cm for receiving from the TV-Sat 2 satellite. TechniSat concludes a globally exclusive contract for the famous Colani television design with star designer Prof. Luigi Colani.

    When did TechniSat start?
    TechniSat is founded on July 10 by Peter Lepper in Daun (Eifel). The first German TV channels (RTL, ProSieben and Sat.1) start satellite broadcasting via ASTRA. Launch of the first TechniSat SATENNE flat dishes with an edge length of 38 cm for receiving from the TV-Sat 2 satellite.
